Sometimes the wounds of their past we never knew, surface into a future they would never experience.
The photos used in this series were taken in 2013. The first photo was taken of my beautiful grandmother’s hands. These hands have so much power and I miss them sorely.
May the soul of my grandmother be in eternal peace. The last image was from my time in Lahore.
My grandmother had a bitter sweet relationship with independence and as she did not move I could not help but imagine how everything around her changed drastically. When you stay stationary people forget the impact it has.
This poem was written last year and I’m finally pushing it out with the height of the things taking place in #Kashmir, admits the heightened conflict between #India and #Pakistan - and in war it is only the everyday person that dies. The land that soaks the blood, the sky that witnesses and the mountains that mourn.
In the end a line is what people will kill for and people will die for.
Finally got to try @ambassadorsicecream ✨ I tried almost everything before I chose their PB Cookies and Cream flavour hehe 😅 creamy and really gooood! It’s like Reese’s in a vegan ice cream form haha 🙊
