Hello friday ! Tu l’as lu ?
A veggie dish treat to end the week~! Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend~❤
A few weeks ago I went to the #Rigi and was faced with this beautiful scenario. The weather wasn't ideal, at moments you couldn't see what was more than a meter away. It was all white, sky and floor, a true #winterwonderland .
When I arrived at the highest point, the sky cleared for only a few minutes. For the lucky ones that were there at that specific moment. Far away you could see, between fluffy clouds, tips of mountains in the blue sky. A moment of aw.
While enjoying the view, I took this picture and was quite happy with the results of it - a serene, somewhat mystic landscape. .
I thought about posting it then, but the cross started to really bother me. A year ago I officially de-registered from the church (I was somewhat raised as a catholic) and if people ask me if I have a religion, I say I believe in many things (a self-created system of beliefs). Maybe I didn't want to post the picture, afraid of being assimilated to the cross...? .
Yesterday, at the Human Rights Film Festival, I had the opportunity to watch the inspiring movie ”Gods of Molenbeek” - which screens the views of religion through the eyes of 6-year old kids. What an inspiring documentary.
Watching the movie brought me back to this picture and my thoughts around it. .
So here I leave my words...Each one should have the freedom to believe in what they wish to believe. Our beliefs do not define us, we are all simply humans. Why not openly talk about it just as kids do? .
Perth it’s been a long hot week. This afternoon I’m chilling on the edge while the kids swim #perth
Fridays feeling: Chuffed to have mates that give you squinty eyes and a reason to wake up before the 🐦 birds do.
Tag someone you know that could convince you into the earliest wake up or better yet the craziest challenge!
