Look, I get it. Technology is a part of our lives now whether we like it or not. But we can all make changes. Myself included. When I get that weekly summary of phone usage for the past week, I want to toss my phone away. I just cannot fathom that I am on it as much as it says. I recognize I do spend a lot of time putting together these posts, but I swear beyond that, not so much. I think part of the time, at least for me is I always leave apps open. Anyway, enough about my guilt.... We also over extend ourselves socially. I can honestly say I have gotten better at saying no when I want to say no? But there is still work to be done here as well.
What do you think? Where can you make changes? How can you unplug, at least a little more?
Be mindful of your waste, minimize it, stop supporting companies who create it exceedingly. Clean coastal waters are diminishing these days due to countless human pollutants like oil fracking or even civilian litter. This usually makes it onerous for locals who rely on these waters as a source of nutrients and livelihood as they have no other options like most developed areas would.
Thankfully, for those of Vūng Tàu, they have one of the cleanest, coastal water sources in Vietnam and the region beyond. Our friend shown here, walks to these waters daily to harvest oysters to sell on the streets or even directly feed her family some days. We had the opportunity to help her out and it was one tedious process! Her dependence on these methods have been a culture for hundreds, perhaps even thousands of years. Although she is considerably one of the lucky few in the world in terms of still having clean waters for healthy nutrients, it doesn’t mean it will last.
Corporate conglomerates who promise so much yet only care about profit and expansion will most likely destroy this source of life soon enough. We see it every single day in other areas of the world, is it inevitable for this woman and her family as well? Do everything you can today, and everyday, in order to reverse this process. Be conscious of your choices, because they take a toll on this world we all call home.
May we allow our children, freedom to be, be as they were born to be.
May we remind them regularly that earth is there playground & they are here to create & to live a bright colourful fulfilling full life aligned with the heart.
May we remind our children everyday of the superpowers they are gifted with from birth & that they are the miracle blessed with an internal healing system, fully equipped for their journey on Earth.
May we remind our children how amazing they are & how grateful we are that they chose us as parents.
May we remind our children that inside them lies treasure, there essence, this is there purpose, may we empower and encourage our children to conect & express this treasure, supporting them always with the greatest superpower love. ❣
May we as parents stand tall in our personal power, living consciously, walking our truth hand in hand with awareness & wisdom, rolemodeling as best we can, doing all we do from our highest good for our childrens highest good.💜💛💚💙
Our children are the future....
